This course is geared toward gaining knowledge and skills for LAN switching and Wireless and WAN technologies. A Student will work on much more intense labs and activities and gain hands on experience with application protocols and services. In depth troubleshooting methods of specific layers of the OSI model, VLAN and VLAN routing, VTP and trunking on Cisco switches and RSTP operation. Identify basic parameters to configure a wireless network and common implementation issues / application impact voice over IP, and video over IP on a network, and configure/ verify and troubleshoot DHCP, DNS operation, ACL's, WAN serial connection, PPP connections; routers and frame relay and WAN implementations and security. Pre-requisite: networking or concept knowledge or experience a plus, prior Net+ course too. Heavy Cisco lab work. Authorized Cisco training materials / Experienced Cisco Academy Instructors - hands on labs- prepares student for CCNA certification exam - Vouchers are earned
