Proctored Exams

The Testing Services Office can proctor exams for any distance learning programs from other institutions, state agencies or ACCUPLACER® tests for students attending a college/university other than Onondaga during specific hours. Proctoring services are available for paper-and-pencil and on-line test formats. Proctored exams are available by appointment only, and you should allow at least 2 weeks to complete the registration process and schedule an appointment. Each test proctored costs $26. Proctored exams are administered Monday through Friday from 9:00am to 2:00pm and are given by appointment only.

Steps to Take a Proctored Exam

  1. Complete and submit the  Request for Proctored Exam form. This form must be submitted at least 2 weeks prior to the date you anticipate taking the exam. If there are any forms that your institution needs completed, include them with the Request for Proctored exam form.
  2. Once all appropriate forms have been submitted, you will be contacted by the Testing Services Office to make a tentative appointment. Appointments will not be confirmed until we have received the exam.
  3. Notify the institution you are attending to submit the exam to the college Testing Services office either by email attachment, mail or overnight courier service. All materials should be sent by mail or email.
  4. Cost: There is a $26 fee for each exam proctored even if multiple exams are taken on the same day. For example, a student taking two tests on the same day must pay a proctoring fee of $52. The proctoring fee must be paid at the Bursar’s Office (Gordon Student Center, Room 114). Bring the proctoring fee receipt with you on the day you test to show proof of payment. It is recommended that you arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment in order to make payment. Note: All transactions for proctoring fees are non-refundable and cannot be transferred to another date or exam.
  5. The Testing Services Office will contact you to confirm your appointment once your exam is received. An appointment will not be confirmed until all exam materials have been received by the Testing Services Office.
  6. Location: The Testing Services Office is located in Gordon Student Center, Room 230. Please review the Campus Map for directions to the building.
  7. If you are a student with a documented disability, you must submit written documentation from your current institution before accommodations can be arranged and an appointment scheduled.
