Driver Education 

Onondaga Community College's Driver Education Program is approved by the New York State Education Department and New York State Department of Motor Vehicles. Lecture instructors are New York State teachers certified in Driver Education. Able II Driving School provides in-car instruction. The program consists of 24 hours of classroom instruction and 24 hours of in-car instruction. Students MUST be at least 16 years of age and hold a valid New York State Learner's Permit or Driver's License PRIOR to the first day of instruction. Classes will consist of no more than 36 students - the maximum number allowed by the State Education Department. Students must attend 16 lectures and 16 driving sessions to satisfy state requirements. Each driving group has a maximum of four students. Driving schedules are arranged by Able II Driving School and may run longer than classroom dates. An additional fee of $25 will be assessed by Able II Driving for in-car make-ups. Registration deadline is MARCH 5.

Tuition: $459. Book included.
