Small Business Development Center

The Small Business Development Center's goal is to assist entrepreneurs, business and industry in the solution of their problems leading to increased productivity and profitability.

Onondaga Community College is one of the three sponsors of the Small Business Development Center (SBDC). The Onondaga SBDC is also funded by the United States Small Business Administration and the State University of New York.

The SBDC specializes in providing direct one-to-one counseling on small business problems and offers educational programs targeted to the needs and interests of small business. There is no charge for consultation and all existing small businesses and individuals considering starting a small business may request the direct assistance of the SBDC for which there is no charge. Training courses or workshops may require a small charge.

The SBDC is committed to serving our local community.  We're staffed with New York state certified business advisors who are ready to provide counseling and training to meet the needs of small business.  If your business or civic group requires a special workship, needs referral services or requires a small-business-oriented speaker, you are invited to call and speak with the SBDC director regarding our community outreach services.

Since its inception, the SBDC has developed 4,950 jobs, saved over 2,200 others and generated over $103,000,000 in investments.
