Onondaga Announces Transfer Agreement with Ithaca College
Onondaga Community College is proud to announce a transfer articulation agreement with Ithaca College. The agreement insures that ensures:
- Students who successfully complete work toward an Associate of Arts or Associate of Science Degree at Onondaga will be accepted to Ithaca provided they meet the minimum cumulative grade point average required for transfer admission to a bachelor’s degree program.
- General education requirements earned at Onondaga will be seamlessly transferred into Ithaca’s general education requirements (Integrative Core Curriculum). Accepted transfer students holding an A.A. or A.S. from Onondaga will be considered to have completed all of Ithaca’s Integrative Core Curriculum.
"Onondaga is pleased to offer our students a seamless pathway to a bachelor's degree at an outstanding institution like Ithaca College. This agreement ensures our students a smooth transition upon graduation," said Cathleen C. McColgin, Ph.D., Onondaga Provost and Senior Vice President.
“I am so pleased that Ithaca College and Onondaga Community College have entered into a new transfer articulation agreement,” said Ithaca College Provost and Vice President for Educational Affairs, Dr. Marisa Kelly. “OCC has historically been one of our strongest transfer partners within the SUNY system, sending us many excellent students over the years. This fall we launched an exciting new college-wide general education curriculum, the Integrative Core Curriculum, or ICC. This new transfer agreement allows OCC students who complete their AA or AS degrees to transfer into Ithaca College with full credit for the general education work they have already completed, while also allowing them to participate in the ICC through a transfer student seminar, creation of an Ithaca College ePortfolio, and a senior-level capstone experience.”
