Faculty Bio: Lisa Miller

Associate Professor of Music Lisa Miller completed her Associate of Science degree in Music from Vincennes University, a Bachelor of Science and Master of Music degrees from Indiana State University, and her Doctor of Music degree in Voice Performance from the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music. In addition to her degrees in music, Dr. Miller holds a Master of Arts in Teaching from Oakland City University. In addition to teaching voice, Dr. Miller teaches courses in music theory and aural skills. She currently serves as the deputy chair for the music area and chair of the curriculum committee for the college. She also serves as the Director of Music at the Immanuel United Methodist Church in Camillus, NY. As graduate of a community college program, Dr. Miller believes in the community college philosophy of helping all students achieve success their chosen academic field. Fostering an academic environment with high standards, combined with the support students need to become confident professional musicians is one of Dr. Miller’s primary professional goals.
