Health Information Technology Accreditation Information
The A.A.S. degree in Health Information Technology emphasizes concentrated studies in health information supported by clinical experiences in cooperating health care facilities and agencies. Graduates qualify for certification in the health information technology field by passing the national credentialing examination required by AHIMA. Graduates may transfer to a four-year college to pursue a baccalaureate degree in health information management.
