
A sports television producer, a humanitarian, an educator and a banker make up the next class of Alumni Faces! The four distinguished former Onondaga Community College students will be honored during an induction ceremony on campus. Each honorees likeness will be added to the Alumni Faces display which is also in the Academic II building. The 2019 Alumni Faces honorees are:
Jennifer Belcher, '87
-High School: West Genesee
-Major at OCC: Humanities
-Profession: Humanitarian
-Jennifer's passion for humanitarian work began nearly 20 years ago with a trip to El Salvador as part of Habitat for Humanities. She and her husband have traveled the world helping others. They presently reside in Papua New Guinea where they serve with Wycliffe Bible Translators.
Bill, Bonnell, '83
-High School: North Syracuse
-Major at OCC: Electronic Media Communications
-Profession: ESPN Coordinating Producer
-Bill has won more than a dozen Emmy Awards while coordinating coverage of major sporting and entertainment events for over four decades. He currently oversees ABC's Saturday Night Football for ESPN and the College Football Playoff National Championship game coverage.
Nicholas Roberts
-High School: Fayetteville - Manlius
-Major at OCC: Music
-Profession: Educator
-Music and history have always been Nicholas' passion. He has worked as a college professor and is presently completing his Ph.D. in History as a Presidential Fellow at the University of Notre Dame.
Rick Shirtz
-High School: Bishop Ludden
-Major at OCC: Business Administration
-Profession: NBT Bank Regional President
-Rick earned degrees at OCC, Le Moyne College and Syracuse University. He presently oversees commercial banking operations in multiple counties as a Regional President for NBT Bank.
