Six Onondaga Community College graduates will be recognized as distinguished Alumni Faces honorees for their professional achievements and contributions to the college and the community. Their accomplishments will be highlighted during an induction ceremony April 3 at 5 p.m. in the Frederick Marvin and Ernst Schuh Recital Hall in the Academic II Building. Today we highlight honoree Dr. David Lee '84.
Dr. David Lee was a self-described average student at Liverpool High School who took advantage of his only opportunity to attend college. “OCC gave me a foundation of how to be a good student along with a sense of direction and purpose. My professors saw something in me and guided me down a path I never knew was attainable. It’s why OCC remains so dear to my heart.”
After completing his associate degree, he transferred to Cornell where he earned multiple degrees. Dr. Lee worked in Colorado and Minnesota before returning to Cornell as the Associate Dean for External Programs at its College of Veterinary Medicine. The position provides him the opportunity to both teach and be involved in research and development.
