There are 1,275 Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) chapters both in the United States and internationally. OCC's PTK chapter has been named third best in the world. Students and administrators received the amazing news in April at the Phi Theta Kappa Catalyst Gala in Orlando, FL. PTK is the international honor society of community colleges. Students must achieve a 3.5 grade point average to earn membership.

Our PTK chapter's remarkable accomplishments are the subject of this month's edition of our podcast, "Higher Ed news You Can Use from Onondaga Community College." Our guest is Dr. Annie Tuttle. She is a Sociology professor and Faculty Adviser for our PTK chapter.
