I. Policy Statement
The Curriculum Committee of Onondaga Community College will oversee the establishment and modifications of curriculum in accordance with the procedures set forth in this policy.
II. Reason for Policy
The Curriculum Committee works as a standing committee of the Faculty and on their behalf; curricular matters require the formal action of the Faculty. The Curriculum Committee will recommend to the faculty procedures and policies in the area of curriculum development and implementation.
III. Applicability of the Policy
All faculty, and other College employees involved in the development and/or approval of curriculum, should be familiar with this policy.

VII. Procedures
Proposals for the establishment of new curriculum or modifications of existing curriculum shall be prepared by appropriate Faculty. Complete proposals, once approved by Department Faculty, shall be submitted to the Assistant Director, Registration and Curriculum (ADRC), to ensure accuracy and completeness. The ADRC will then submit proposals to the Curriculum Committee, and as appropriate, Learning Outcomes Assessment Committee, for review. Following Curriculum Committee approval, proposals shall be forwarded to the Faculty Senate for review and recommendation. Subsequently, proposals shall be submitted to College Administration for final approval and implementation.
