Tips for Successful Online Learning
Stick to a Schedule
After reviewing the course outline, create a weekly schedule that allows you to balance your coursework and busy lifestyle. Make sure to schedule time frequently each week to make sure deadlines are being met. Also, create your own version of a "classroom" where you are going to focus on your classwork, that is free from distractions so you can concentrate on your studies during this scheduled time.
Stay Organized & Manage Time Wisely
Use a Planner to keep track of assignment due dates, test dates, and other important deadlines. Organize your course materials by creating folders on your computer and in your study space for different subjects or modules. Avoid Procrastination by breaking down tasks into smaller, manageable parts and focus on high-priority assignments and projects first.
Engage Actively in Class
Participate in online forums and discussions to deepen your understanding of the topics being discussed and connect with your instructor and your classmates often. Don’t hesitate to ask questions during virtual lectures or via email. Regularly check your D2L Brightspace course email for updates in the course and to communicate and respond promptly to other students and your instructor.
