Agreement with Utica University
Requirements
Successfully complete the following requirements for seamless transfer to Utica University's Cybersecurity, B.S. program.
TERMS OF THE TRANSFER ARTICULATION AGREEMENT: Utica University guarantees the acceptance of students who completed an Associate Degree at Onondaga Community College with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or better to Utica University. Transfer students who do not meet these criteria will be evaluated individually.
- This agreement assumes the completion of the Associate Degree. Utica University requires that the last 30 credit hours granted toward the Bachelor’s degree must be earned in residence, with matriculated status. Additionally, the Bachelor of Arts degree requires that a minimum of 90 credits must be in the liberal arts while the Bachelor of Science requires that a minimum of 60 credits must be in the liberal arts.
- Onondaga Community College transfer Students will be subject to all general education requirements of Utica University as set forth in the Utica University catalogue.
- This document is based upon the evaluation of course descriptions presented to Utica University. Courses will transfer to Utica University provided a grade of “C” or better has been earned. Credit will be granted where the coursework is comparable to that offered at Utica University or as general elective and/or liberal arts credit.
BENEFITS/ADVANTAGES: Onondaga Community College transfer students are eligible for scholarship and financial aid in all ways the same as continuing Utica University students including;
- Transfer Achievement Awards These awards are for transfer students who have completed, and will transfer, a minimum of 30 hours of university work. The award is contingent upon you maintaining a 3.0 cumulative GPA and full-time status.
- Transfer Leadership Awards These awards are for transfer students who have completed, and will transfer, a minimum of 30 hours of university work. The award is contingent upon you maintaining a 2.5 cumulative GPA and full-time status.
- Associates Achievement Awards These awards are for transfer students based on obtaining a 2-year degree prior to attending Utica University. The award is renewable as long as the student maintains a 2.0 cumulative GPA and meets satisfactory progress requirements.
- Utica University will provide housing in campus residence halls within the guidelines and practices governing availability of housing for continuing students.
- Onondaga Community College transfer students are eligible to participate in internships, externships, co-ops, field placements and study abroad opportunities open to continuing Utica University students.
