Throughout this page you will find information related to assessment, completing your program's 3- or 6-Year Review, and details pertaining to Assessment Day. Assessment Fellowships:
Assessment Fellowships at Onondaga Community College are designed to support faculty in identifying and addressing critical gaps within their programs or disciplines, thereby enhancing student success and program effectiveness. LOAC is seeking assessment activities that address significant, data-supported findings reached through program assessment, specifically strategies that improve course-level and program-level student success (while maintaining appropriate academic standards), leading to fall-to-spring persistence, spring-to-fall retention, and credential completion. This work underscores the college’s dedication to continual improvement, aiming to strengthen academic programs through focused and strategic assessments. Faculty members who wish to apply are encouraged to complete the application and email it directly to the Chair of the Learning Outcome Assessment Committee (LOAC) at LOAC@sunyocc.edu.

Assessment of Student Learning
SUNY Guidelines for Reviews and Documentation:
Faculty are expected to organize their program's 6-year external review during the academic year noted below. SUNY requires External Evaluation, by two evaluators. The external evaluator’s task is to examine the program and related materials, meet with students (if available), visit the campus (in person or virtually, as deemed appropriate) to discuss the program with faculty and review related instructional resources and facilities, respond to the questions in the SUNY Report form, and submit to the institution a signed report that speaks to the quality of, and need for the program. The report should aim for completeness, accuracy and objectivity.
